A ONE OF A KIND
ALBINISM NURSERY

Here at Sylvan Specter, our goal is to supply everyone with a plant as unique as their own personal gardens or professional landscaping projects, all while providing a healthy benefit to the flora already present. Our greenhouse specialists, or “Ghost Wranglers”, are excited to unite you with a new mystical pal for any project or hobby.
When you bring home a Specter, one of many species of vegetation available with the albino trait, you are taking a step towards a healthier environment for your plants. Our botanical ghosts assist the plants around them by absorbing heavy metals and other harmful toxins, which would otherwise kill the surrounding plants by preventing photosynthesis. Albino plants, lacking the chlorophyll they need to manufacture food, typically die as seedlings after the energy stored in the seed is used up.
In our Graveyard Labs, they can be grown to relatively large sizes using a concentrated food medium that allows each specimen to absorb nutrients through their roots, as they are unable to produce them naturally. Since our little ones feed by other means in the dark underground, void of sunlight, they can filter out the contaminants in the soil and give other plants a better chance to thrive!

Reviews

A completely new experience.

I have been to other large greenhouses and gardens, but this one takes the cake. The plants are beautiful and the staff are very friendly. The tour guides answered all my questions with a smile and made me feel like an important part of their success. I highly recommend this location for a day trip or family outing.

We will be back soon.

I recently got into gardening and caring for plants in general, and I love the options here! I never knew that plants could be albino just like animals. I can’t say I quite understand the science behind creating an albino plant, but that won’t stop me from taking home a specter!

Had a great time!

Very fun and family friendly! Had a little trouble convincing my kids to walk with me because they are scared of ghosts, but once they saw the plants they were very excited. A good educational experience and outdoor activity, I am glad we chose to visit the area.
